The Farmacia Giulio Cesare in Rome, located in the Vatican City area, sells over-the-counter and prescription medicines, as well as products related to the well-being and psychophysical health of its customers.
The Viale Giulio Cesare outlet is unique: spread over three floors, the pharmacy has two laboratories run by in-house staff. One of the laboratories is dedicated to powder preparations, while the other handles preparations for topical use, such as
- creams;
- ointments;
- fluid extracts;
- mother tinctures.
The sale of medicines is not the only activity that characterises the pharmacy's work. In fact, inside the pharmacy, you will find many departments divided by sector and category, such as officinal herbs and phytotherapeutic formulas. Most products are produced in-house, such as Melissa Water (distilled in the pharmacy's own laboratories), Lord's Bitter and Lavender Water, as well as various fluid extracts. The medicinal herbs department, in addition to its own phytotherapeutic formulas, still produces by distillation Melissa Water, an ancient Carmelite formula, Amaro del Signore, a popular digestive bitter, as well as Lavender Water and various fluid extracts. On the back of the counter of the Farmacia Giulio Cesare we read: " Scientia Et Pietas Malum Vincunt ", testifying, even today, to their lifelong commitment.
